I have asked “why” to so many things, even since childhood. I was not given answers as a child, however I kept asking questions and as I matured so did the quality of my questions.
Therefore the quality of my answers and consequently the quality of my life became awesome.
“The quality of your life is based partly upon the quality of the questions you ask yourself daily.” Dr John Demartini
It’s the 21st century, everything is changing so fast.
Why does this matter to me? All I know is that none of this will last!
Things that we buy and people that we try to control.
Why are we always striving? We all seem to be on an accumulation roll.
How much pleasure does it give us? Momentary, at best.
Then something else makes us lust, so we go after that in jest.
Why are we always striving? For things that rust, rot or die?
People could really be thriving, if they stopped and asked why.
Why did I waste my life – for things that did not matter?
Why did I stress so much – just to make my wallet fatter?
Why am I looking back at my life with more than one regret?
Why did I let my dreams pass by without ever being met?
Why are people at my funeral with nothing much to say?
Very few friends are there. I did not make much time for them along the way.
Now my time on earth is over. I am looking back at me.
It seems so crystal clear, now I can really see.
Why do people live for their jobs? Instead of for their life.
When do they fit in those special people – their parents, children, husband or wife?
Why do we think we need things to make us happy?
When things can so easily be lost or taken from us.
Why don’t we look inside for happiness?
That’s when we are really conscious.
Happiness is your birthright and yours to claim now. Lynda Petterwood
